REPORTS TO: Head of School/ Director of Physical Education, Health and Athletics

EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated success as a cheerleading athlete and/or coach.

REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated knowledge of cheerleading techniques and aptitude for

the following performance responsibilities:

1. Coaching individual participants in the skills necessary for superior achievement in cheerleading.

2. Planning and scheduling a regular program of practice in season.

3. Working closely with the Administrator of Interscholastic/Intramural Athletics in scheduling of interscholastic contests.

4. Recommending purchases of equipment and supplies, if necessary.

5. Maintaining necessary attendance forms.

6. Overseeing the safety conditions whenever students are present.

7. Enforcing disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and establishing a policy for breach of such standards by athletes.

8. Establishing performance criteria for eligible interscholastic competitive events.

9. Working with college officials (Scholarship, student placement)

10. Working with local media.

11. Enforcing and explaining rules and regulations regarding athletics at Lowell High School as stated in the student Handbook and MIAA Blue Book-E.g. (Attendance Eligibility, Chemical Health)
