JOB DETAILS

Speech Language Pathologists work extensively with students to improve communication in the areas of articulation, expressive and receptive language, pragmatics, fluency, and augmentative, alternative communication (AAC) skills. Speech Language Pathologists evaluate and diagnose students, develop treatment goals and objectives and work closely with teachers to improve communication skills so that students can access the curriculum.  Speech Language Pathologists must possess knowledge of childhood speech and language development and communication disorders. Speech Language Pathologists are aware of current trends, research and best practices related to speech and language therapy.
